When you loved me

Romeo and Juliet
loved each other
as you loved me that winter
when my smile was bright
my voice soft
and firm my spine
Then appeared the monster
I bent my spine
my smile fell asleep
and my voice became rough
You saw me as am I
and stopped loving me
Fast disappeared our
winter's tale

The infernal eagle

The infernal eagle
ready to attack
with a devil's scream
trying to terrify

Dear eagle
send the message to the hell
in my life
I have met enough pests

Foolish eagle
you are on a dangerous quest
Better for you to retreat
before the volcano erupts
from this chest

Tell to your lord
his hell is the kindergarten
compared to the terror
I will send
if he touches my nest

The frightened eagle
ready to retreat
with coward's scream
trying to leave

The pen, the cup and the blanket

The yellow plastic pen
with a blue cap
dancing over the paper
leaving creative trails
connecting disassembled
parts of me
after exhausting day

The ceramic cup of tea
Three brown puppies
watching from it
It seems they are
begging for smile
my hanging tired lips
From the cup's core
evaporating fragrant steam
This friendly cup
is warming my
hands, throat and soul

The simple orange blanket
covering gently my legs
like it is saying to them
have rest my friends
if there is no love
on this planet
you have me

When we are tired

With red plastic wings
blue pig flies
when she is tired
she lands on the sky

Multicolored bananas
sing all night
when they are tired
they jump without sound

Crying chair delivers
a motivational speech
when she is tired
she runs on the beach

Chocolate spaceship transports
the coffee with milk
when he is tired
he becomes the silk

When I am tired
I fly as the superman
my cloak is huge
bigger than the universe

A noisy queen

Poetry is a noisy queen
Oh, almighty gods
How she likes to speak

She praises, she offends
She screams, she whispers
She comforts, she complains

When she doesn't speak
She laughs, she cries
She weeps, she smiles

Or she drinks too much
Or she is naturally nuts
Or she likes annoying us

She is our queen
we must obey
if we really want
to keep our heads

The boxer

The boxer walking to the arena
everyone fears her
she will conquer the world

The boxer walking from the arena
she kisses the poor
gives them shelter and food
No one fears her

The Cemetery café

He is a madman
so sure he is sane
He sprints every day
Sit here with me I say
Sorry my dear he answers
No time today for friends
Every time he says
the same
One more car
he needs to buy
and the house
for his third child
One day
when the basket of wealth
is big enough
he will slow to relax
I say
dear friend
see you later
in The Cemetery café

Liebster award

The Liebster Award is given in recognition to new blogs. And a huge thank you goes to Jeniann Bowers at Poetry by Jeniann

About The Liebster Award from We Loved Here
I was looking to learn more about The Liebster Awards and the way they put it was simple so here’s what is says: “The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. So, what is a Liebster?  The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. Isn’t that sweet? Blogging is about building a community and it’s a great way to connect with other bloggers and help spread the word about newer bloggers/blogs.”

Lazy day

With deck chairs
in symbiosis
Sun is burning
the skin
Lazy to put
the sunscreen

Snail waiter
Music his rhythm

Snail waiter
what do you
We say
would like
to add
the milk

Let him bring
It's too hard
to speak

It's already
the sunset
our skin hurts

after rest
we will put
some yogurt

I missed to see your nose

While we walked
along the shore
I missed to see
your lying nose

You managed
this fool to seduce
with a cup
of strawberry mousse

Next time
I won't be a goose
Sight on such a nose
I won't lose

Reflection in the lake

She was a quiet girl
never wanted to do harm
and just because of that
they were to her extremely harsh

Her shoes flew
to the school yard
Her blue uniform
sank in the mud

I heard that children
are specially kind
Then tell me why
they twitched her hair
and knocked her down
from the chair

Maybe we are guilty
for bad things they make
Maybe they are our
reflection in the lake

Less than a half

Last coin disappearing
with a glass of red wine
We mix cry and laugh
What of the hope is left
is far less than a half

Dragon, don't be afraid of wolves

Stop fearing of wolves
when you are a dragon
You are your only boss
Why you crawl
before the false?

You have your wings
for constant travel
not to sink
below any level

Raise your wings
and spread the fire
but not to
humiliate the others

Proudly show
your every muscle
and say to wolves
I am my own master

The echo

I hear your screams
and I respond
My heart sings
with you in the choir

You died three years
before I was born
but still your echo
rings from the horn

I was a small ball
in a womb
but I heard how you teach
making a verse from a groan

               To Croatian poet Dobriša Cesarić
